I WRITE FOR GOD

Privacy policy.

I Write For God is operated by Pathway365 Media Group LLC. This policy explains how information is used on our Christian writing platform.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, a securely hashed password, account creation details, and your acknowledgment of our terms and 18+ requirement. We store sign-in sessions and security rate-limit records.

We also store the information you give us: author profiles and photos, website and social links, writing and drafts, saved history, bookshelf listings and covers, bookmarks, follows, moderation reports and review notes. If you email us, we receive your email address and message.

Our hosting services may record technical details such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, timestamps and errors. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics processes visit, browser and device information. See Cookie details.

What other people can see

Public profiles, published articles and public bookshelf listings are visible without an account. Search engines and readers may copy them. Your account email is not displayed as a public profile field; anything you put in your public content can be seen by others.

Drafts, history, bookmarks and account records are not public pages. Authorized operators and providers may access information as necessary to operate, support, secure and moderate the service. Please do not store confidential information here.

Why we use it

We use information to run accounts and writing tools, display your public work, review submissions, respond to reports and support requests, protect the service, and provide export and recovery features.

Signup sends a welcome email to you and a notice with your name and email to the operator. Following a writer does not currently sign you up for publication emails. We will ask separately before enrolling you in an optional email subscription.

Providers and outside links

We use IONOS for hosting, Resend for registration emails, and Google Analytics for optional visit measurement. Information necessary for those services is processed by those providers and may be processed outside your country. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, investigate abuse or protect rights.

Book sellers and social websites have their own privacy practices. We do not process book payments, shipping or refunds through the bookshelf. Google’s privacy policy explains its processing.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep account information and content to provide the service while your account remains active. Saved article history holds up to 50 previous versions, not every keystroke.

Requesting account deletion hides your profile and writing and ends existing sessions. You have 30 days to sign in and explicitly cancel deletion. After that deadline, recovery ends and the next cleanup removes your account and associated records from the live database. Restored articles return as drafts. Bookshelf listings remain private until you show them again.

Articles in Trash can be recovered within 30 days unless permanently deleted sooner. Removed bookshelf listings do not have a Trash recovery feature, and removing a listing does not remove the book from its seller.

Private hosting backups and update snapshots may retain older copies after live deletion. The account-delete button does not erase those backups. Hosting logs, email correspondence and provider records are separate; retention depends on operational needs, provider settings and applicable obligations. Contact us about copies outside the live application.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, manage your content, download your writing and history, and request deletion in Account settings. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your analytics choice. Contact us for other access, correction or deletion requests. We may need to verify the request concerns your information.

Your rights depend on applicable law and may include access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction or a complaint to your privacy regulator. This policy does not limit rights the law gives you.

Faith, personal stories and age

Our community is Christian, and joining or sharing a testimony may reveal religious beliefs or other sensitive information. Share only what you intend to provide, and respect other people’s privacy. Do not publish their private or sensitive information without appropriate permission.

Accounts are for adults 18 and older. Reading public pages does not require an account. If you believe an under-18 person has created an account, please contact us so we can review it.

Changes

We update the date above when this policy changes and provide additional notice when appropriate or required.
